The book is an edited collection of chapters which examines the history, recent developments and directions of modernization of the Russian continuous teacher education. It aims to be the definitive English language text on this topic and will draw on scholarly expertise in Russia and will locate the policies and practices that are discussed within the context of global reform of teacher education. The book is a result of one of the rare English-language studies on teacher education in Russia, which is entirely prepared by Russian scholars.
