Аннотация |
The study aimed to investigate how video games, as a digital and cultural medium, can be utilized to foster and promote youth activism. Method: The study explored «digital freedom« and its impact on youth activism in gaming. It used a keyword-based search in three databases (Google Scholar, PhilPapers, ScienceDirect) to identify relevant sources. The focus was on finding works related to «freedom« and «game space« in philosophical and social contexts. Results and Discussion: The study highlighted that gaming freedom involves the player?s control over immersion, drawing behavior from real life, and engaging in virtual life situations that develop personal responsibility. Games provided an opportunity to experience scenarios that enhance decision-making skills without real-life consequences. Conclusions: Video games offer valuable platforms for experiencing life-like situations and cultivating skills such as strategic thinking and responsibility. |
