dc.description.abstract	The relevance of the study is conditioned by the fact that the number of children with diabetes mellitus is increasing annually. Diabetes mellitus is a disease, which stems from a metabolic disorder that is characterized by a chronic increase of the glucose level in blood. The asthenic condition, associated with the disease may cause poor academic achievement, sluggishness. The psychogenic effect of diabetes mellitus leads to the development of the feeling of inferiority, dependence, helplessness, the feeling of limited physical abilities even in the absence of serious complications. Diabetes mellitus does not only affect physical health, but as well as any severe chronic disease, it affects the development of the personality, the formation of interpersonal relationships with peers. The aim of the study is to design the health-caring educational environment of a modern school for the education of children with diabetes.
