The relevance of research and pedagogical potential Ethnomusical traditions in the ethno-cultural music education in a multicultural environment of the modern school due to the complex contradictions of social, scientific and practical nature. With the development of globalization, the expansion of communication and information in the post-industrial society, the trend of unification the cultural life of the people. In this regard, there was a danger of loss of ethnic and cultural diversity of peoples, their ethnic identity, forgetting the origins of their national culture. As a response to the challenge of time formed and actualized the need for ethno-cultural musical education, providing spiritual and moral formation of the individual student, the formation of ethnic and cultural identity as a necessary component of its ideological potential and the conditions of integration into world culture
