dc.description.abstract	In this paper the notion of worldview is analysed. The concept worldview is used interchangeably with the concept philosophy, therefore they are distinguished. It is shown that philosophy is reflection of worldview. The components of worldview are considered. It is defended that images play a constitutive role for forming worldview in many areas, including science and philosophy. The information theory of images by Elkins is exposed. It is maintained that scientific theory does not avoid images and metaphors. The imagism theory about the role of images is outlined. The criticism of this theory by Husserl and Wittgenstein is formulated. The representationist view of images is defended against both imagism and its critics. It is maintained that the relationship between first-order and second-order representation is hermeneutical. Images and concepts serve as interpretations for each other in constructing the worldview.	ru_RU
