Аннотация

The problem of language and culture of the Russian Germans as idependent ethnos remains debatable within many decades; the new researches based on testimonies of ethnic Germans that would allow to draw a number of objective conclusions on the reasons and motives of loss /preservation of ethnic-cultural roots are necessary. Results: Article data are based on correspondence, internal meetings with hundred descendants of the Russian Germans of different generations data. Discussion: on a subject authors published 10 articles in various magazines of Russia, thematic conference within the Yelabuga philological readings held in 2015. Final report: from the Russian Germans interviewed by us about 30% knows language of the ancestors, but even for grandsons and great-grandsons of the ethnic Germans who do not know German, thirst for «germanity« is shown: it is revealed by us at the level of attachment to national cuisine, music, interest in Germany as to the state that allows to speak about...
