Economic security is considered from the point of view of the characteristics of independence, transparency, sustainability, stability of socio-economic system of the region functioning in a cyclical crisis of development. The main condition for problems associated with safety is the presence of certain real dangers that can harm the regional socio-economic systems in the present and the future. Safe and sustainable development of social and economic system of the region assumes a qualitatively certain state of the region's economy, its ability and readiness to ensure decent living conditions and human development, sustainable resourcing of sectors and industries.
