Аннотация

The article examines the problem of integrating the cultural component into the professional curriculum of translators' training via incorporating the methodology of culture-oriented English language fictional texts aimed at the development of the sociocultural competence of translation studies students. The article shows how to integrate the methodology of culture-oriented interpretation as a set of successive operations determined by the content of the text-based activities and interpretation operations: cultural orientation, reception, explication and evaluation.
