Before making prognosis about educational needs of the 21st century students it is necessary to clarifying characteristics that make them different from the 20th century students. The most important traits for the 21st century students are:
? They are “digitally born” - the information and communication technologies are part of their everyday life and have to be the main tool for their education and learning. So, the school has to develop a digital literacy in students.
? Even more, the 21st century students live in the information society, in which information is appear as the progress' force, resource of the out of class knowledge, reason and way for contacts (often virtual), means for the opinions' and positions' integration, as well as an manipulation tool and often an way for coming into the personal space of the people. For this reason the 21st century school has to develop in students the basis of the culture of the information society's citizen.
