Аннотация

One of development tools for civil qualities of youth is the voluntary activity forming humanistic ideals and feeling of social responsibility. On the basis of the theoretical analysis of a number of researches we revealed that the term «voluntary activity« has the following characteristic. Voluntary activity is the whole range of different types of activity which includes as traditional forms of mutual aid and official rendering of services, and forms of various civil participation. It is an opportunity to see results of own work, a smile of the student of orphanage after a charitable holiday, the planted trees in the park, gratitude of people for the graves of anonymous participants of war put in order etc. The fact that any form of this activity is addressed to a wide range of the public is fundamental and it is carried out voluntarily, without calculation on a reward.
