Аннотация

Based on the system-semantic and sociocultural approaches, the study systematizes verbal explica-tions of non-verbal behavior signs displayed by the characters in the novel by B. Akunin. We reveal and describe manifestation types of synonymous relations between verbal explications of non-verbal behav-ioral signs. We have found that behavioral signs with identical values can differ either in the form of per-formance, or in their functional and stylistic markedness (marked – unmarked), or by means of verbal representations (sensual or somatic speech, a description–word-combination or a description-word) of the same non-verbal sign. Unlike the phenomenon of the proper lexical polysemy and homonymy, the main criterion for distinguishing homonymy and polysemy of nonverbal signs is not only the presence / ab-sence of a single semantic core, but also the nature of the kinema implementation.
