Аннотация

The article analyzes the peculiarities of the functioning of the lexico-semantic field “intellect” in H. Hesse's novel “The Steppenwolf” and its translation into Russian. This field is one of the key ones in the works of the representative of intellectual prose H. Hesse. In the process of translation, not only the conceptual content of a given lexeme is conveyed, but its cultural meaning as well.
