    Аннотация The article deals with the results of scientific research with the objective of studying adolescent readiness for the project activity and its cognitive element, in particular. As an effective means helping to develop cognitive component, we propose fine arts, which efficiency is proved during pilot experiments, arranged in three successive stages: stating, forming and testing. To determine evidence of cognitive component of adolescent readiness for the project activity, the levels and indices were defined. On the basis of detected indices, there were selected the diagnostic methodologies towards determination of levels of progress of cognitive component of adolescent readiness for project activity. The authors developed and implemented an optional author's program «Art-Crossroads«, which promotes the growth of the need for communication with art, the formation of adolescents sustainable interest in the study of works of art and the implementation of creative project activities.
