Аннотация

Ambiguity of sociocultural transformations on macro and microlevels have to a certain extent changed the system of values and attitudes of youth. Present research investigated students' attitudes to marriage and family as the group the most preceptive to changes. Studenthood is a period of active establishment of life values which later determine the character and content of the dynamics of social institutes and demographic processes in a country. The article demonstrates the results of online survey of the students of Kazan Federal University revealing the attitude of students to marriage and family, models of sexual behaviour, parenthood, and gender differences in attitude to marriage and family. Obtained results demonstrate certain mismatches in students' minds, on the one hand, there is still share of traditional values, and on the other hand, there are tendencies to pragmatism, changes in attitudes to marriage, family and perspectives of future self-realization. It is important to develop specific gender approach to enforce attitudes and willingness towards family and parenthood, and reproductive intentions of youth considering particularity of attitudes to family and marriage of young females and males.
