Northern Black Sea Region and the Crimean peninsula is distant western region of the Mongol Empire Khublai Khan, which will be the main crossroads between the Empire and the states of Western Europe. Here will be established new mongols, and europian cities, where finished the Great Silk Road. From there, chinese and central asian goods will be distribuate in the southern European ports on ships of the Latin merchants.
In the 13th century begin a new period in the history of the Northern Black Sea Region steppes (Dasht-i-Kipchak), which from the peripheral area will turn of the center of merchants attraction the West and East. After more than two centuries of Cummans domination in the steppes zone, comes a new wave of nomads from the East. The first appeared of Mongols in Crimea was in 1223 during a campaign of commanders of Genghis Khan - Dgebe and Subedey, his troops attack the main center of the Byzantine eastern Crimea - Sugdea. |
