In this work, numerical simulation of the decomposition reaction to evaluate the thermal potential of hydrogen peroxide and estimation of scenarios where its applicability may have perspective for field development have been evaluated. Three oil types with two well settings (3-well pattern and cycling-well pattern) were analyzed. Also, sensitivity analysis was performed for geological, kinetic and injection parameters. Results showed that there is dependence between well pattern, injection strategy, reservoir thickness and oil type. Development of light oil fields may be benefited by displacement effects when a 3-well pattern or analogous is used; meanwhile, with cycling-well pattern, the method shows perspective for heavy oils and its efficiency may be maximized at higher oil saturations, lower activation energy values during decomposition reaction and higher H2O2 concentrations. |
