The aim of the study is to illustrate the current state of the audit services market in Russia, identify the causes of the crisis and consider options for the role of a higher educational institution in the mechanism for overcoming the crisis. The formulation of the goal led to the setting of tasks in the form of systematization of statistical information on the number of auditors and audit firms, analysis of the volume of transaction costs in the audit services market. The integration of a competence-based approach in the preparation of students for the «Accounting, Analysis and Audit« profile in the implementation of the necessary requirements in the preparation of auditors is an unconditional innovation of this study. |
