In recent years, vertical gardening has been successfully developed in the world - it is an effective and popular solution for achieving sustainable development of urban areas that are subject to strong anthropogenic impact. This trend is most developed in Europe and is also present in various regions of Russia - Moscow, St Petersburg, Krasnodar. In Kazan, vertical greening was introduced on the eve of the World Student Games - Universiade-2013. Vertical greening has several advantages, but it also has disadvantages, which are explored in detail in this article. The advantages of vertical greening include compactness, use of prefabricated phytomodules and phytowalls. This is not only high-tech products for greening vertical surfaces and structures in any room, but the real Gardens, the basis of which is the ability of plants to normally grow on any surface, to clean the air from dust, to absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. The disadvantages include the difficulty of supplying the necessary «green« material, a rather harsh climate in most regions of Russia. The difficulties also include unpreparedness of customers for such projects |
