    Аннотация This penultimate chapter offers a synthesising review of the impact of glo balisation on teacher education in the BRICS countries. An analysis of trends in the development of the teacher education system in BRICS countries testi f ies in favour of the presence of a dual problem in teacher education: on the one hand, there is a major shortage of teachers, on the other hand, a decrease in their level of professionalism. This highlights the importance of prioritising the development of teacher education systems in order to attract motivated young people to the profession, to improve the quality of education by strengthening its practical orientation, and to strengthen the connection between theory and practice, which in turn will reshape initial and post-university pedagogical education.
