Significant problems for schoolchildren are caused by the process of solving planimetric problems of an increased level of difficulty. Schoolchildren have problems analyzing the conditions of such tasks, constructing a geometric drawing and working with it, building geometric facts into a logically justified sequence, constructing a complete solution to the problem. We present the design of a new electronic course for teaching students of grades 8–10 the process of solving planimetric problems of an increased level of difficulty. Problems in teaching Plane geometry led to the choice of the 4C/ID pedagogical design model. This model is aimed at acquiring complex skills or professional competencies. Solving problems of Plane geometry of an increased level of difficulty is a difficult skill for a student, having a heuristic nature, and based on a system of certain subject and methodological knowledge, skills and abilities. The principles of designing an electronic course are the following: ensuring the quality of educational content, openness, granularity, free assembly, gamification and active visualization, interoperability, independence and individualization of the educational space, collaboration. Unique digital products have been created to implement the components of the 4C/ID model. To provide the “timely information” component, educational reference cards with information from the author's educational mathematical ontology OntoMathEdu and a program for semi-automatic markup of educational texts were used. The “partial practice” component is implemented with the help of original training simulators and tests that contribute to the development of a set of skills for solving planimetric problems of an increased level of difficulty. When implementing the course on the e–learning website of Kazan Federal University with remote asynchronous training of 8th grade schoolchildren, a high completion rate and a customer satisfaction score index were obtained with the involvement of both highly motivated and unmotivated schoolchildren. |
