dc.description.abstract	The paper deals with the study of Russian-Tatar bilingualism in the Republic of Tatarstan and the gradual process of overcoming of language asymmetry (only Russian is a language of interethnic communication). Introduction of Tatar lan-guage and literature in curriculum for pupils of all ethnic groups in 1992 plays one of the main positive roles in this process. As a result today young Russian people are able better or worse to use Tatar language. But it does not mean their active practical use of Tatar in everyday life. The research is based on the data of sociological research (2006-2012).	ru_RU
