dc.description.abstract	Aimed at classifying the nomenclature of photographers names at the American photo site forum “Wedding and event photography”, this article addresses the needs of cross- and intercultural communication and methodology of contrastive research. The paper focuses on two pressing issues – the semantic parameters and collocability of the nomenclature under study. The issues are exemplified by 44 names of photographers used in 1096 commentaries posted by the forum users in year 2015. The data collected at the photo site forum “Wedding and event photography” include two main categories of names: professional photographers (primary, secondary, beginning photographer, assistant, etc.) and amateurs (wedding guests). In addition to the quantitative analysis determining the frequency of each word registered, the photographers nomenclature is also studied at three levels: semantic, syntagmatic (collocability) and discourse (functions).
