Folklore is a reflection of the particular world picture prevailing in the national consciousness for thousands of years and has not lost significance in our time. Therefore studying of folklore seems to be in progress, when there is a growing interest in the historical past. In recent decades a large number of works devoted to the consideration of small folklore genres (fairy tales, riddles, Proverbs, sayings, signs, etc.) has appeared. They reflect the «moral voice of the people« which is laid deep the semantic origins of the formation of national images of the world. In the scientific literature among the objective factors influencing the formation of mentality, the natural factor stands out as the key, as it is the natural environment is in direct contact with the person. The subject of our study is the folk omens whish are taken as a linguistic text, the specificity of which is manifested in the lexical limitations.
