In 2014, the crime rate dropped in 50 subjects of the Federation. The number of grave and especially grave crimes decreased by nearly 2.5 percent. The number of offenses committed by adolescents decreased in all federal districts of Russia by 12 percent. At the same time every fifth crime committed by adolescents was grave or especially grave. Every seventh adolescent during the commission of a crime was in a state alcoholic or drug intoxication. Every fourth adolescent who committed a crime, had already broken the law. The problem of street children is also closely connected with juvenile delinquency. Just last year, more than 30,5 thousand of adolescents have gone from dysfunctional families. Often adolescents from disadvantaged families, neglected adolescents are compelled to commit crimes, often young people themselves become victims of criminals.
