Annotation |
The current stage of the interactions in the “man-media-man« system sets new
parameters to practitioners of modern education. Media education programs have been used for
quite long time in Europe, the USA, Canada and other countries, but it will take decades until
media education becomes global and universal. The existing curriculum overload and a lack of
qualified teachers in this area are the main obstacles to the global dissemination of media
education. In this paper, the author attempts to identify the sociocultural context of formation of
media education mission, and in this regard, considers the concept of deconstruction as a way of
approaching to media literacy.
