dc.description.abstract	The article is devoted to the formation of professional and general professional competences of students of non-linguistic areas of study during the course of Academic Communication and the problems of its implementation in the conditions of modern Russian higher education. The main problems referred to are various levels of the students' English proficiency, the necessity to teach students of different areas of studies in one group, students studying different languages such as German, French, 35 ets., as their first foreign language in one group. Part of the abovementioned problems might be solved by the use of electronic educational resource on the Moodle platform.	ru_RU
