Abstract
The rapid growth in the number of blockchain-based startups proves that
technology is in high demand in the modern world. Completely different sectors of economy are under the influence of blockchain technologies, currently being ready to integrate them into their business activities. Various databases can be created in the form of a registry through the blockchain to form
a digital image of an asset (real estate, intellectual property, security, etc.)
and a digital trace upon the completion of transactions. It is already obvious
that the introduction of blockchain-based technologies in the government will
significantly reduce both financial and time costs for the implementation of
state functions or the provision of services to citizens and businesses. This
innovative step can enhance in risks' minimization (fraud, cyber attacks) as
well as in significant increase of state assets control and privacy protection.
Most financial companies are ready and willing to use blockchain technology
that opens up new opportunities for storing, passing and transferring ownership of digital assets. Based on the analysis of statistical data, it is shown
that many sectors of economy are influenced by blockchain technologies,
and the possibilities of using blockchain technologies among financial institutions around the world in 2017 are also presented. The results of the survey
showed that 23 % of the surveyed financial companies planned to use the
blockchain for clearing and calculating securities. The main provisions and
conclusions of this research can be used by private companies to engage
into global business framework, by small businesses to increase their competitiveness and to launch new products and services, by startups for introduction of blockchain technology in public administration |
