BACKGROUND AND AIM
Billions of people around the world use Wikipedia as a source of medical information every year. Who reads Wikipedia medical materials? Studies have shown that people use Wikipedia for many purposes - from finding medical information for themselves or their family members to medical students and experts who are looking for brief background information on the topic of health.
Wikipedia has many pages related to healthcare. When medical students and doctors study the use of Wikipedia, it becomes clear that it is becoming an increasingly popular resource. In 2014, Cochrane collaborated with Wikipedia to support the exchange of relevant Cochrane data in Wikipedia's health articles and to develop strategies to keep Wikipedia content up-to-date, impartial, and high quality. Cochrane groups have adopted various strategies for engaging in the initiative, including educational approaches.
The aim of this work is to study the benefits and harms of medicines and integrate evide |
