dc.description.abstract	The article is an attempt to introduce bilingual educational programs using the example of California (the USA) in the context of protection of linguistic diversity and the ability to use the native or first language under conditions of globalization and the challenges of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. The analysis of the main documents regulating the introduction of multiculturalism and linguistic pluralism in the context of bilingual education introduced by the legislative initiative of California Department of Education are drawn. The paper also studies programs and initiatives implemented by educational organizations of California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE), Californians Together and others. Information educational web sides and educational Internet resources supporting bilingual education in the studied region are analyzed.	ru_RU
