Annotation |
The article deals with the peculiarities of the development of media art in a modern industrial city. Media art as a form of artistic activity is a symbiosis of art, technology and science. The role of changes at this stage of development is being updated. Creative industries are a condition for «rebooting« urban areas, creating new creative clusters and art residences. Semantic codes of an industrial city, which are the basis for socio-cultural transformations, are revealed. The features of local cultural revolutions and the role of media art in the transformation of urban spaces are analyzed. The study presents materials of semi-structured interviews with representatives of the field of media art, as well as a three-factor model of historical and cultural analysis of the urban area. The article actualizes the possibility of transition to a metamodern society characterized by integration of various cultural trends and a critical view of culture in the concept of postmodernism.
