We present the results of a systematic study of a series of microsized powders of double fluorides LiReF4 (Re = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb) and nanosized LiTbF4 powder at low temperatures (down to 2 K) in magnetic fields up to 9 T utilizing vibration sample magnetomery. Theoretical analysis of the measured data makes use of the single-ion Hamiltonian in the full space of states of the free Re3+ ion. Measurements display anomalies of LiDyF4 at T < 7 K: butterfly hysteresis and slow magnetic relaxation. |
