Annotation The description of experimental works, which study the processes occurring under long-term loading of composite materials, is given. A fiberglass (FG) flat sampes under three-point bending has been studied. An assumption has been made that the deformations, normal to the section, are purely elastic, and the transverse shear deformation consists of two parts—the elastic one and the deformations, formed as a result of creep and damage accumulation. A variant of the creep relations according to the hardening theory, as well as a variant of hereditary elasticity has been considered. The parameters of the creep theory were determined by the authors in their earlier works based on the operation analysis of the tubular samples. The parameters of the hereditary elasticity theory have been obtained in this work by the identification methods. It has been found out that even for thin beams, in contrast to a purely elastic problem, taking creep into account under a transverse shear leads to inelastic components of the depressions that are comparable to their elastic values. The results of the numerical calculations are presented, it has been concluded that at large times and loads some deformations appear in the sample caused by damage accumulation.
