The paper presents the investigation of the effectiveness of remote training future music teachers' performance skills by the means of online course at the university. Based on the literature review the gap in research works in the field of online learning for perspective music teachers during the profes-sional preparation process was stated. Current cultural studies emphasize a large contrast between 'east' and 'west' by the term of East-West dichoto-my. The named term as a philosophical concept points the diametrically opposed development of East in comparison to West culture that together form an equilibrium. So, traditionally the Tatar music is analyzed within the terms of Western musicology, while some of it's elements are built pe-culiar rather Eastern tradition. In these frameworks the research question was pointed out: do the online studying of Tatar culture through the lenses of East-West dichotomy will benefit the students' performance skills? This approach was implemented in the future music teacher's educational pro-cess. The research work took place at Kazan Federal University in the stu-dent bachelor group of 23 persons. Data were collected from one academic semester from February 9 to May 31, 2023. The methodology was based on the mixed methods approach by using average rating and feedback. During the process students had been working with online resources which cover issues of East and West cultures: theoretical materials, workshops with music teachers, interactive tasks, forum. The obtained results proved the ef-fectiveness of the online training performance skills based on East-West dichotomy approach. |
